Digital Production Specialist

Dina has been an invaluable part of Insight for the Blind since 2004, handling nearly every aspect of digital book production.  Her responsibilities range from pre-production research, to reviewing and editing audio, even creating the Digital Talking Books (DTBs) that are ultimately uploaded to the Library of Congress.

Dina’s work at Insight is the perfect complement to her career as a classical violinist.  Born in Serbia, a former republic of Yugoslavia, she moved to the United States at fifteen to study Violin Performance on a full scholarship at Southern Methodist University and at only 21 years of age, was awarded a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University.

Dina has been performing professionally in South Florida since 1999, first with the New World Symphony and the Florida Philharmonic, and currently with the Palm Beach Opera, The Symphonia, as regular substitute with the Naples Philharmonic and Sarasota Orchestras, the Minnesota Orchestra, and many chamber music groups, including Chamber Music Palm Beach.  She has maintained a violin studio and ensemble classes at Barry University since 2003.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, skiing and mountain getaways as often as possible, and gastronomical adventures in the great company of family and friends.

Dina enjoys the multifaceted challenges that this work brings and thrives on learning new things everyday, either from the subject matter of the books or from a new technical demand of the job.  “Time flies at Insight.  Anyone that has ever been here knows that two hours in the studio feels like two minutes.”
